About

Welcome to Monty Lounge Industries, LLC. I'm Kevin Fricovsky, a creative and passionate technologist (aka web geek). I specialize in helping companies solve every day problems through simple, creative, powerful solutions. This blog is powered by Django-Mingus, an open source Djagngo project leveraging reusable Django applications and five out-of-the-box themes.

I'm also the co-founder of Django-NYC, Community Evangalist for This Week in Django, a writer, creator of Juxtaviews (now defunct) - interviews with people making the web (a 2nd round 9Rules website addition and one of the "69 tech blogs that don't suck"), and currently the full-time Chief Architect - Web Strategy and Development for Broadway.com. I'm also formerly a *small* contributor to the open source asp.net Subsonic project where I contributed some JSON/REST api code, as well as designed the 2nd incarnation of the project website, and a handful of tutorials and screencasts. I also lended a hand in the popular asp.net DotNetKicks website/open source project. I previously blogged on HowIWorkDaily.com (my 3 or 4th blog reincarnation at this point). And currently can be found creating/contributing to open source project on Github (montylounge), Github (howiworkdaily), and Bitbucket. Montylounge will be my home moving forward.

I'm not currently looking for work, but if you were looking to hire me I'd be able to help lead your web strategy efforts, as well as information and graphic design, and then bring in the development side of things to tie it all together. Read the testimonials to see what others have said about working with me. And check out my services for more details.

I live with my wife, Katy, and 2 year old son, Conor, and newborn baby girl Claire, in New Jersey. We love the area. We're close enough to the beach, and far enough away to keep us safe from the summer shore craziness. I'm also close enough to NYC to miss it but get my Grey Dog Cafe fix when needed.
